Winner of Innovate Hawke’s Bay 2022, to Visit Taranaki and Collaborate with Entrepreneurs and Expert

TARANAKI, NEW ZEALAND - Innovation Hq, the business incubator and accelerator in Taranaki, is excited to announce that Shaleah Lawrence, winner of Innovate Hawke’s Bay 2022, will be visiting Taranaki to meet with local entrepreneurs and experts for her skincare business.

Shaleah, who took out the second year of the Innovate Hawke’s Bay accelerator programme, has built her skincare business, Earthwoven from her passion for skincare, science, and sustainability. From her own challenging experience with troubled skin and a lack of solutions, the youngest entrant in the programme developed her beautiful skincare range. Her visit to Taranaki offers a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs and experts to share their knowledge, collaborate with Shaleah and help her along her business journey.

During her visit, Shaleah will be meeting with a range of innovative start-ups and established businesses to share her insights and experiences. In turn, she will seek guidance and inspiration from local entrepreneurs and experts. This collaborative effort is expected to benefit both parties, leading to new and innovative ideas that promote cross region business support in “belt-land” Aotearoa/NZ.

In addition, Shaleah will be recording some podcasts with local entrepreneurs including, skincare industry specialists Glen Stephens (PowerUp 2021 Winner and founder of Taranaki’s “Sol n Sea” skincare range) and Bernadette Soares (a leading name within the skincare industry including, owner and distributor of a range of health and beauty products, of which NZ’s “Natural Glow” is in the stable) to name a few.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have Shaleah visit Innovation Hq Taranaki, facilitator of the local Taranaki Innovate version of the Factory inspired regional incubator programme, particularly given the recent difficult circumstances our eastern whānau have been enduring said the CEO of Innovation Hq, Simon Singh. "Her visit provides a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs and experts to collaborate with an upcoming entrepreneur. We hope that this will lead to innovative solutions for Shaleah and the wider business community."

Shaleah's visit to Taranaki promises to be an exciting and productive collaboration for all involved. Innovation Hq would like to hear from Taranaki innovators, entrepreneurs & potential sponsors as we finalise details for the upcoming Innovate Taranaki 2023 programme.
