Innovate Taranaki is back for 2023!

Innovation HQ, Venture Taranaki, and Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce the launch of Innovate Taranaki, a dynamic accelerator programme aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and driving economic growth in the Taranaki region. This exciting new collaboration brings together the collective expertise and resources of these organizations to provide comprehensive support for local innovators.

Innovate Taranaki is designed to equip start-ups, growth businesses, and aspiring young entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and network needed to thrive in today's competitive business landscape. The programme offers two distinct pathways: one for start-ups and growth businesses, and another for STEM students, known as Innovate for Youth, to foster entrepreneurship and inspire innovation in schools.

Simon Singh, CEO of Innovation HQ, expressed his excitement about the programme, stating, "Innovate Taranaki represents a significant step forward in our mission to build a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Taranaki. By partnering with Startup Taranaki, Venture Taranaki, and Chamber of Commerce, we have created a powerful collaboration that will provide extensive support and resources for local entrepreneurs."

Innovate Taranaki offers a diverse range of resources and opportunities for participants, including mentorship, workshops, networking sessions, and access to potential funding opportunities. The programme is structured to guide entrepreneurs through the key stages of business development, from ideation to scaling, while emphasizing experiential learning and practical application.

The Innovate Taranaki accelerator programme is set to kick off on June 28, 2023, with entries open for submission starting 12th May. Participants will engage in a 10-week journey, attending weekly workshops, receiving mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, and culminating in a pitch competition to showcase their ideas and compete for a $5,000 cash prize and $5,000 worth of consulting services to get their idea up and running. The Innovate for youth winner will also receive $2,500.

To support the programme, Innovate Taranaki has secured partnerships with Venture Taranaki, Chamber of Commerce, and other key sponsorship organizations, further enhancing the breadth and depth of resources available to participants.
