You're Invited! Learner Me Open Day

On Tuesday 19 October (3-7pm), Taranaki’s dedicated digital tech training academy Learner Me will open its doors to the public to discover their specialised learning environment and explore a career in digital tech.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone—whether it’s the school-leaver considering a career in IT or the working adult looking to up-skill—to talk to our team of learning facilitators and tech professionals about how accessible the tech industry can be,” says Learner Me CEO Simon Singh.

“The way we’ve designed Learner Me is to remove lecture halls and replace them with digitally-delivered courses that are self-paced and can be tailored to the needs and interests of each individual. It’s fun, industry relevant and fast paced.”

Simon explains that the Open Day allows the public to see this innovative learning model first-hand.

Learner Me gained NZQA-accreditation in 2019 and is looking to offer courses up to Level 5 and 6 certificates and diplomas in 2021. Students may be eligible for Fees Free.

Learner Me is the training arm of innovation and tech group Innovation HQ, which includes computer repair and IT service provider Proformac Technologies, chartered accountants Opportuna CA, software developers App HQ, and marketers and designers Branding HQ. These business have hired several Learner Me graduates and they also work closely with Learner Me students as they participate in real-world projects as part of their learning.

The Learner Me Open Day is open to all with no bookings required. There will be a sausage sizzle and an opportunity to go in the draw to win an iPad.
